You Never Cared

You never really cared for me... You never understood
...How much I loved you and how much... I wanted
to be good... I would have given everything... To be
a part of you... I would have promised at your feet...
To start my life anew... But you were just a vagabond
... A wind that blew away... With never any memory
... Or thought of yesterday... You came and then you
disappeared... You vanished out of space... And never
any mirror could... Reflect your fleeting face... And if
we ever meet again... I hope your heart will see...
That I am not your own and you... Do not belong to me.
