Poems worth waiting for

By James J. Metcalfe

When April Comes

I love the rains of April and ... The flowers in the spring ...
I love the grasses that are green ... And all the birds that sing
... The baseball and the tennis ball ... The marbles on the
ground ...The babies in their carriages... And laughter all
around...I smell the sweetness in the air ...I drink the dew
of dawn...And dreams are happy in my sleep... when all
the world is gone ... I love the days of April and ... Its nights
of silver stars... And those of drizzles and of fogs ... That
shroud the passing cars ... I love the month of April with ...
Its blessings from above... But most of all when April comes
... I love the one I love.
