To Meet Again


No, I have not forgotten you...
Your laughter and your tears
... Not even after all the months
... Of all these many years
... Perhaps your brow is wrinkled
now... Perhaps you hair is
gray... And some may think your
charm is gone... As much
as yesterday... But in the memories
I hold... You are the very
same... And I am still inspired
by... The blessing of your
name... The blessing of your
gentleness... The goodness of
your soul... And everything about
you, dear... So happy,
sweet, and whole... And even if
you smile no more... At
least I knew you then... And I
always hope and pray...
That we shall meet again
