They Are So Few

I seem to have so many friends... And yet I have so few...
Because so many do not have... The warmth there is in you
... The feeling of affection and... The willingness to serve...
No matter what the task I ask... Or what I may deserve... No
matter what the problem or... The sorrow to be faced... Or
what may be the injury... That ought to be erased... So many
friends appear at dawn... And disappear at night... So many
set their torch ablaze... And then put out the light... There
are so few who are like you... Forever true and warm... For-
ever faithful in their hearts... Against whatever storm.
