Sharing Our Joy, a poem by James J. Metcalfe

Sharing Our Joy

What good is happiness ... Unless we try to share ... Its
beauty and simplicity ... With people everywhere? ... There is
no joy in selfishness ... Or going on alone ... Or any lasting
comfort that ... Is all our very own ... We have to walk with
others in ... This world in which we live ... And we are never
better than ... The fellowship we give ... So let us work to-
gether as ... A strong and friendly team ... To make each other
happy and ... Fulfill our fondest dream ... For only in the
peaceful bliss ... Of every other soul ... Can we expect to be
content ... And gain our greatest goal.
