Prayer For Prudence

Help me, O God, to live a life... Of prudence every day...
In exercising judgement and... In all I do and say... Let not my
thoughts be hurried now... Let not my passions rule... Nor let
my tongue in idleness... Reveal me as a fool... But give me grace
and guidance to... Avoid the least excess... In my pursuit of any
form... Of earthly happiness... For I would rather end my days
... In humbleness, alone ... Than reach the smallest sinful height
... For which I must atone... Help me, O God, to practice now
... The prudence that I need... To honor You and serve You
well ... In thought and word and deed.
