The Blind

The human beings who are blind... Are those who cannot
see... The physical proportions of... A person or a tree...
They lack the power to behold... The picture of a street...
The colors of a rainbow or... The flowers at their feet... But
also they need never look... On ugliness or dirt... Or face the
scowls that threaten or... The sneers that try to hurt... They
do not have to check the clock... For night to follow day...
Or gaze upon the tears that flow... When life has passed away
... And yet it seems they have their dreams... And sometimes
they can see... Much more than is apparent to... Our visi-
bility.
